Site Audit

A site audit is a systematic evaluation of a location, its activities, and its environmental performance to identify risks, verify compliance, and support responsible management. In an environmental context, auditors review records, inspect operations and infrastructure, and assess conditions such as waste handling, emissions, water use, and potential soil or groundwater contamination against applicable requirements and established procedures. The findings document nonconformities, pollution sources, and opportunities for corrective action. Site audits help organizations prioritize remediation, improve environmental management systems, reduce operational impacts, and demonstrate accountability to regulators, stakeholders, and surrounding communities.

A Method to Study Adaptation to Left-Right Reversed Audition

2018

The present study proposes a protocol to investigate the adaptation to left-right reversed audition achieved only by wearable devices, using neuroimaging, which can be an effective tool for uncovering the adaptability of humans to a novel environment in the auditory domain.

O-Ring Aortic Banding Versus Traditional Transverse Aortic Constriction for Modeling Pressure Overload-Induced Cardiac Hypertrophy

2022

The present protocol describes a new technique of aortic banding in mice to induce pressure overload cardiac hypertrophy. For banding, a rubber ring with a fixed inner diameter is used. This new technique promises less variance and more reproducible data for future experiments.

Testing visual sensitivity in lizards using an operant conditioning paradigm that employs video playback of random-dot kinematograms and computer-generated invertebrates.

fMRI Mapping of Brain Activity Associated with the Vocal Production of Consonant and Dissonant Intervals

2017

The neural correlates of listening to consonant and dissonant intervals have been widely studied, but the neural mechanisms associated with production of consonant and dissonant intervals are less well known. In this article, behavioral tests and fMRI are combined with interval identification and singing tasks to describe these mechanisms.

Rapid in vivo Drug Response Prediction Using Leukemia Cell Grafts in Zebrafish Embryos

2025

This protocol provides step-by-step instructions for generating and troubleshooting human acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) xenografts from cell lines and fresh patient material in transiently immunosuppressed zebrafish embryos, along with guidelines for drug response assessment using flow cytometry. The experimental pipeline can also be adapted for solid tumors.
