Echomri

Echomri, commonly written EchoMRI, is a quantitative magnetic resonance method that noninvasively measures body composition, making it useful for assessing changes in fat, lean tissue, and body water. The technique places a subject in a magnetic field and applies radiofrequency pulses that produce nuclear magnetic resonance signals from hydrogen nuclei; differences in these signals allow tissue compartments to be quantified without ionizing radiation. In medicine, EchoMRI supports obesity and metabolic research, monitoring of treatment-related body-composition changes, and longitudinal studies in which repeated measurements are needed. Its rapid, noninvasive measurements can complement clinical and laboratory assessments.
