Speech Therapy

Speech therapy is a clinical intervention that assesses and treats difficulties with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication, helping people participate more effectively in everyday life. It uses individualized exercises such as sound production practice, language activities, breathing and voice training, and repeated feedback to strengthen communication skills and support more efficient motor and cognitive processes. In psychology, speech therapy is relevant to developmental communication differences, acquired neurological conditions, and the emotional and social effects of communication difficulties. Assessment and progress monitoring guide treatment, which can improve intelligibility, comprehension, self-expression, and participation in education, relationships, and clinical care.
