Schwarzschild Radius and Event Horizon

Un projectile imaginaire lancé depuis la surface du Soleil aurait besoin d'une vitesse de 618 km/s pour échapper au champ gravitationnel du Soleil.
Maintenant, supposons que le rayon du Soleil soit réduit de moitié, en maintenant sa masse constante. Sa vitesse d’échappement augmenterait alors à 873 km/s. Si le rayon est encore réduit, jusqu’à 2,9 km, la vitesse d’échappement sera égale à la vitesse de la lumière.
Rappelons que la vitesse d’échappement d’un projectile dépend de la masse et du rayon de l’objet à partir duquel il est lancé.
En général, le rayon auquel toute masse a une vitesse d’échappement égale à la vitesse de la lumière est appelé rayon de Schwarzschild. Par conséquent, le rayon de Schwarzschild est égal à deux fois le produit de la constante gravitationnelle et de la masse de l'objet divisé par le carré de la vitesse de la lumière.
Tout objet sphérique non rotatif ayant un rayon inférieur à son rayon de Schwarzschild est appelé un trou noir. 
La surface sphérique entourant le trou noir, dans le rayon de Schwarzschild, est connue sous le nom d’horizon des événements, à l’intérieur duquel la vitesse d’échappement est supérieure à la vitesse de la lumière.

La vélocité minimale nécessaire pour lancer un projectile depuis la surface d'un objet auquel il est gravitationnellement lié afin qu'il s'échappe finalement du champ gravitationnel de l'objet est appelée la vélocité d'évasion. La vélocité d'évasion est indépendante de la masse de l'objet. Fusionner l'idée de la vélocité d'évasion avec la vélocité maximale à laquelle la matière peut se déplacer conduit aux concepts du rayon de Schwarzschild, des trous noirs et des horizons des événements.

Si un objet est suffisamment dense, il s'effondre sur lui-même et est entouré par un horizon des événements à partir duquel rien ne peut s'échapper. Le terme "trou noir" a été inventé par l'astronome John Wheeler en 1969 pour désigner un tel objet, car même la lumière ne peut pas s'échapper d'un tel objet. Karl Schwarzschild a été la première personne à remarquer ce phénomène en 1916, mais à l'époque, il était considéré comme une curiosité mathématique.

Bien qu'un trou noir ne puisse pas être directement observé car la lumière ne s'échappe pas de son horizon des événements, il existe des preuves écrasantes de l'existence des trous noirs dans l'univers. escape velocity limits and black holes

Escape velocity helps explain how black holes and event horizons form. It is the minimum speed a projectile needs to leave the surface of an object and eventually escape its gravitational field. In this context, escape velocity does not depend on the mass of the object being launched.

The key idea is that no object with finite mass can move faster than the speed of light in a vacuum. When escape velocity is compared with that speed limit, the Schwarzschild radius becomes important. If an object is dense enough, it can collapse under its own gravity and form an event horizon. Nothing can escape from inside that boundary.

An object like this is called a black hole. The name was coined by astronomer John Wheeler in 1969, and it describes the fact that even light cannot get out. Karl Schwarzschild first described this phenomenon in 1916, but it was then treated as a mathematical curiosity.

Black holes cannot be seen directly because light does not leave the event horizon. Even so, there is strong evidence that they exist in the universe. Astronomers study their effects on nearby stars and on matter falling toward them to infer their presence.
