Lors d’une évaluation initiale, évaluez la tension artérielle dans les deux bras. La valeur systolique peut différer de 10 mmHg. Pour les évaluations ultérieures, utilisez le bras avec la lecture de PA la plus élevée.
Lorsque la pression artérielle est élevée, réévaluez les autres extrémités pour comparer les résultats. Vérifiez également la position du patient, la taille du brassard, l'emplacement du stéthoscope et la précision de l'équipement.
