The Contractile Ring

טבעות מתכווצות מורכבות ממיקרופילמנטים ואחראיות להפרדת תאי הבת במהלך הציטוקינזיס. הרכבת טבעת מתכווצת מאטרקציות יחד עם אירועים אחרים של מחזור התא; עם זאת, מעט מאוד פרטים מכניסטיים ידועים על התזמון והתיאום של הטבעות המתכווצות עם מחזור התא.

GTPase קטן, RhoA, שולט בתפקוד ובהרכבה של הטבעת המתכווצת.
