Determining the Plane of Cell Division

תא מתחלק הקובע במדויק את מישור חלוקת התא שלו חיוני להפרדה מוצלחת של כרומוזומים ולפיזור התוכן הציטופלזמי לתאי הבת שלו.

במודל ההרפיה הקוטבי, מיקרוטובולים אסטרליים שולחים אותות מעכבים לקטבי התא ובכך מדכאים את היווצרות התלם בשני הקטבים. זה מוביל להתכווצות קליפת המוח בקו המשווה של התא.
