Kit Receptor Detection

KIT receptor detection is the identification and measurement of KIT, also called CD117, a cell-surface receptor tyrosine kinase involved in signaling through stem cell factor. Detection methods typically use antibodies that bind KIT on fixed or living cells, with fluorescent, enzymatic, or other labels allowing the receptor to be visualized or quantified by microscopy, flow cytometry, or immunoassay. In biology, these measurements help characterize hematopoietic and germ cells, assess cellular differentiation, and investigate cancers in which KIT expression or signaling is altered. Reliable detection can support cell sorting, disease classification, and studies of receptor-mediated growth and survival.

2009

The Protease Fluorescent Detection Kit is designed for the measurement of protease activity using fluorometry. It is also suitable for detection of trace amounts of protease contamination. The method is based on the proteolytic hydroysis of a proprietary formulation of a FITC-labeled casein substrate.

A novel technique for the detection of low abundance endogenous receptors present in zebrafish embryos is described. We have named it AFLIP because it consists of affinity labeling of the receptor by its ligand linked to immunoprecipitation.

Magnetic-Activated Cell Sorting: A Method to Isolate c-Kit Positive Cells
