Cll Cells

CLL cells are abnormal mature B lymphocytes that accumulate in blood, bone marrow, and lymphoid tissues, making them important for studying leukemia biology and therapeutic response. Their persistence reflects disrupted apoptotic control and altered B-cell receptor signaling, which can change protein activity, gene expression, and cellular metabolism. In chemistry, researchers examine CLL cells through molecular profiling, biomarker analysis, and tests of drug binding or pathway inhibition to connect cellular changes with treatment sensitivity. These studies support disease classification, evaluation of targeted compounds, and development of more selective approaches for managing leukemia.

2023

This video describes the technique of isolating chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells from peripheral blood. With this protocol, we will isolate CLL cells from human patient blood sample for subsequent efficient generation of nuclear and cytoplasmic fractions.

Negative Immunomagnetic Selection: A Method to Purify B-cells from Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

2023

The video explains a way to purify B-cells by immunomagnetic targeting and separation from peripheral blood mononuclear cells suspension. The method involve labeling unwanted cell types with specific antibodies or ligands (linked to magnetic particles) targeting specific cell surface proteins, to be depleted from the heterogenous cell suspension by magnetic separation.
