Surgical Incision Suture

Surgical incision suture is a medical closure method that uses thread and a needle to join tissue edges after an operation, including procedures used in cancer research and care. It works by placing stitches through surrounding tissue so controlled tension approximates the wound, limits separation, and supports healing as new collagen and connective tissue form. In oncology, sutures help close incisions after tumor biopsies, resections, and experimental procedures, while reliable closure can help reduce wound complications and preserve tissues for postoperative assessment. In surgical research, comparing suture materials and techniques can inform healing outcomes, procedural design, and translation of cancer models into clinical practice.

2025

Robot-assisted natural orifice specimen extraction surgery is a minimally invasive technique that combines robotic precision with natural orifice specimen extraction. A 67-year-old patient successfully underwent the procedure in 290 min, with minimal bleeding and no residual cancer. This approach minimized abdominal trauma, reduced complications, and enabled a quick recovery.

Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration Followed by Primary Suture Using a Modified Bile Duct Incision

Cholecystolithiasis with common bile duct stones is a common disease; however, traditional common bile duct exploration has its own limitations. We propose a modified micro incision for laparoscopic common bile duct exploration aimed at reducing complication rates.

Q Suture Technique: A Suturing Technique to Reduce Gap Formation and Increase Tensile Strength in Tendon Repair
