Chromosome Duplication

真核細胞の遺伝物質であるDNAは、染色体と呼ばれる線状構造として核の内部に存在します。
染色体内では、二本鎖DNAは主にヒストンと呼ばれる八量体の核タンパク質を包み込み、ヌクレオソームを形成します。いくつかの非ヒストンタンパク質もDNAと結合し、DNAパッケージングを助けます。
これらのヌクレオソームと非ヒストンタンパク質は、コイルを形成するように配列し、さらにループ状に折り畳まれて、パックされたクロマチンを形成します。クロマチンの圧縮の程度により、非常に長いDNAを核内に収めることができます。M期には、クロマチンがさらにコイル状に巻きつき、凝縮した染色体を形成します。
染色体の複製には、クロマチン構造全体が複製されるため、DNAとクロマチン関連タンパク質はすべて複製されます。ヒストンの産生は、新しく合成されたDNAを染色体にパッケージングするために必要な追加のタンパク質を生成するために増加します。

染色体の重複

細胞分裂中の染色体複製のプロセスには、ゲノム全体の破壊とクロマチンの再構築が必要です。系譜の伝播を確実にするためには、娘細胞内でクロマチン構造が正確に継承、再構築、維持される必要があります。

クロマチンの基本単位はヌクレオソームで、八量体ヒストンタンパク質の周囲に巻き付けられたDNAと個々のヌクレオソームを分離する短いリンカーDNAで構成されます。 ヌクレオソーム内のヒストンタンパク質は、N末端がコアから突き出ており、クロマチンの構造と機能を調節するさまざまな共有結合修飾のための部位を提供します。

Chromosome copying is an important step in cell division. Before a cell divides, it must make an exact copy of its chromosomes so each new cell can receive the same genetic information.

This process helps ensure that daughter cells inherit a complete set of chromosomes. Accurate chromosome copying is essential for normal growth, repair, and reproduction in living organisms.
