サンプリングとは、バルク材料から分析のために小さな部分を選択するプロセスです。サンプルは、バルク材料または母集団を表すこの選択された部分です。
材料は、固体、液体、または気体など、さまざまなタイプであり得、その組成は均質または不均一のいずれかであり得る。
均質な材料の場合、グラブサンプルと呼ばれる単一のサンプルが抽出されれば、分析には十分です。
ただし、不均一材料の場合、バルク材料のさまざまな部分からいくつかの増分サンプルを選択し、分析のために組み合わせます。これはグロスサンプルと呼ばれます。
実験室での分析に適したグロスサンプルの均質なサブセットは、実験室サンプルと呼ばれます。分析される実験室のサンプルの一部は、分析サンプルと呼ばれます。
サンプリング方法には、ランダム、判定、系統的、層別、クラスターサンプリングがあります。

サンプリング方法: 概要

サンプルとは、より大きな母集団を代表する小さなサブセットを指します。分析化学では、母集団全体を調査または分析することは、多くの場合非現実的または不可能です。そのため、サンプルは推論を導き、母集団全体を一般化するために使用されます。サンプリング方法では、母集団から個人または項目を選択してサンプルを作成します。標準的なサンプリング方法には、ランダム、判断、体系的、層別、クラスターサンプリングがあります。

分析化学では、サンプリング方法の選択は、収集されたデータの品質と有効性に直接影響するため重要です。異なるサンプリング方法により、さまざまな程度のバイアスと誤差が発生し、実験結果の有効性に影響します。たとえば、ランダムサンプリングでは選択バイアスが最小限に抑えられますが、層別サンプリングでは特定のサブグループが適切に表されるため、データが母集団をより反映したものになります。
