輸送とは、物理的または化学的特性を変更せずにサンプルを実験室に移動するプロセスを指します。輸送中、サンプルの性質によっては、変化を防ぐために凍結や化学的保存などの保存技術が必要になる場合があります。
例えば、凍結は、温度に敏感なサンプルの熱劣化を防ぎます。サンプルに抗菌剤などの化学防腐剤を添加すると、微生物の増殖が防止されます。
ラボでは、サンプルの劣化を防ぐために、サンプルの適切な保管が不可欠です。例えば、熱に不安定なサンプルは、密閉容器に詰められたり、冷蔵庫で保管されたり、冷凍されたりします。
光に敏感な液体サンプルは、暗い環境または琥珀色のボトルに保管する必要があります。

サンプルは、収集場所から試験室に慎重に輸送する必要があります。交差汚染を防ぐために、サンプルは適切に密封され、明確にラベル付けされている必要があります。サンプルの完全性を維持するには、輸送中の最適な温度条件が不可欠です。これには、必要な温度範囲を維持するために、断熱容器、保冷パック、または冷蔵車両を使用することが含まれます。
