Personality disorders are chronic and maladaptive cognitive-behavioral patterns that are deeply integrated into an individual's personality.
As a result, these disorders can impair an individual's ability to function effectively in various aspects of life, including work and relationships.
Paranoid personality disorder is marked by persistent distrust and suspicion of others.
People with this disorder often assume that others harbor malicious or deceitful intentions, even without objective proof.
They are always on the lookout for threats and minor social injustices, leading to feelings of social isolation.
In addition, due to their perception, they may interpret neutral comments as hostile and hold grudges for long periods.
Schizoid personality disorder is characterized by an extreme lack of interest and detachment from social relationships.
Furthermore, individuals with this disorder are emotionally cold and apathetic, avoid close friendships, and have limited emotional responses.
Finally, due to their tendencies, paranoid and schizoid individuals often experience relationship difficulties stemming from defensiveness and resentment.
