免疫組織化学染色と16SリボソームRNA遺伝子(16S rRNA遺伝子)シーケンシングを行い、癌性および非癌性卵巣組織の細菌を発見し、その場で区別した。バクテリアの組成と機能の違いは、未観測状態の再構築によるBugBaseおよび系統的なコミュニティの調査(PICRUSt)を用いて予測した。
