Establishment of a Chilli Thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood) Rearing System for Virulence Screening of Entomopathogenic Fungi

この研究で提示された実験フローチャートは、唐辛子アザミウマの安定した飼育システムを、フィールド収集からEPF分離株の病原性のスクリーニングまで確立できることを示しました(図1)。形態学的観察により、チリアザミウマを他のアザミウマと区別することができますが、PCRアンプリコンサイズやCOIシーケンシングなどの部分的なCOI配列を分子マーカーとして使用することで、野外で採取されたアザミウマがチリアザミウマとして同定されることをさらに確認することができます(図3)。分離葉飼育システムは、アザミウマが子孫を繁殖させるためのより良い制御環境(すなわち、温度と湿度)と十分な食料源を提供します。これにより、飼育容器内の安定した唐辛子アザミウマのコロニーを確保します。病原性スクリーニングバイオアッセイ(図4)の対照処理におけるアザミウマの生存率は90%であることも、分離葉飼育システムが、さまざまな種類のアザミウ...
