本研究では、表面処理、セメントの種類、およびサーモサイクリングがPEEK複合骨の強度に及ぼす影響を評価するための標準化されたプロトコルを提示します。このプロトコルにより、PEEK修復物の長期的な性能を向上させる可能性のある接合アプローチの一貫した評価が可能になります。まず、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン（PEEK）のディスク試料を用意します。指定されたプロトコルに従って表面処理を行います。異なる合着セメントを用いて処理済みPEEK表面に接合するための、標準化された間接複合レジンディスクを準備します。各表面処理群を、酸化亜鉛非ユージノールセメント群と自己接着性レジンセメント群に分けます。酸化亜鉛非ユージノールセメントについて、ベースペーストとキャタリストペーストを同量ずつミキシングパッドに dispensing します。均一な整合性が得られるまで、約 20 秒間混合します。スパチュラを用いて、混合したセメントを処理済みの PEEK 表面に、気泡の混入を最小限に抑えるよう軽く圧力をかけながら塗布します。自己接着性レジンセメントについて、シリンジにオートミックスチップを取り付け、適切な混合を確認するために少量をあらかじめ排出します。次に、チップを表面に接触させたままセメントを処理済みのPEEK表面に直接塗布し、連続的な流れを維持して気泡の混入を低減させます。接合領域全体を均一な層で覆ってください。複合ディスクを、セメントで被覆されたいずれかのPEEK表面の中央に配置します。次に、セメントの厚さを標準化し、均一な適合性を確保するため、500 gの一定の垂直荷重を10秒間加えます。マージンから余分なセメントをマイクロブラシで除去します。酸化亜鉛含有ノンユージノールセメントについては、負荷をかけた状態で6分間の凝結時間を設けます。自着性レジンセメントについては、5 mmの距離から、光照射器を用いて全方向から合計80秒間重合させます。指定した検体を、標準条件下で5°Cから55°Cの間で計5,500サイクルのサーモサイクリングに供します。次に、埋入した試料を万能試験機に装着し、剪断接着強さ試験を行います。すべての表面処理群において、自己接着性レジンセメントは酸化亜鉛ノンユージノールセメントよりも高い剪断接着強さ値を示しました。サーマルサイクル後に暫定セメントで合着した試料は、他の群と比較して最も低い剪断接着強さ値を示しました。サーモサイクリングにより、両方のセメントタイプにおいて剪断接合強度の値が低下しました。サーモサイクリングを行わずレジンセメントで合着したサンドブラスト処理済みの試料が、最も高い剪断接合強度の値を示しました。硫酸エッチングおよびレーザー処理を施した試料は、中程度の剪断接合強度の値を示しました。暫定的なセメントで合着させた未処理のPEEK表面は、処理済みの表面と同等またはそれ以上の剪断接着強度値を示しました。このプロトコールは、模擬的な臨床条件下におけるPEEK複合材料の接着耐久性を測定するために利用可能です。術者の安全と手順の一貫性を確保するためには、硫酸およびレーザー装置の安全な取り扱いが不可欠です。今後の研究では、PEEKの接着を最適化するために、さらなる表面処理、異なるセメント、コンポジット、およびサーモサイクリング条件を評価することが可能です。
