Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder have an exaggerated sense of self-importance but still rely excessively on others' evaluations.

These individuals are often preoccupied with fantasies of success. As a result, they believe they are entitled to special treatment from others.

Additionally, they display arrogant attitudes and behaviors and often take advantage of those around them, seeking to gain personal benefits at the expense of others.

This behavior stems from a lack of empathy, which makes it difficult for them to understand or consider the emotions of others. 

Conversely, individuals with avoidant personality disorder experience profound social inhibition and are highly sensitive to negative feedback.

As a result, they avoid occupations that require interpersonal interaction due to fear of criticism or rejection and refrain from relationships unless they feel unconditionally accepted.

They often perceive themselves as inadequate, socially inept, or unappealing, reinforcing their tendency to withdraw from social situations.

Finally, they avoid establishing goals, taking risks, or engaging in new activities, fearing embarrassment or failure.
