Bone Extraction

Bone extraction is the process of isolating bone tissue from a biological specimen or surrounding tissues for analysis, processing, or use in bioengineering. It typically involves careful dissection to remove soft tissue, followed by mechanical separation and, when required, chemical decalcification to reduce the mineral content while preserving structural components such as collagen. The resulting bone material can support studies of tissue composition, biomechanics, cell interactions, and scaffold fabrication. Reliable extraction helps researchers obtain consistent samples for developing biomaterials, evaluating bone repair strategies, and investigating how mineralized tissues respond to biological or engineered environments.
