Collection Overview

This Methods Collection deals with up-to-date achievements in the field of solid oxide-based electrochemical cells operating at intermediate temperatures (i.e. 500-800 °C).

It intends to stimulate interests at advanced and applied levels for emerging electrochemical technologies that can solve issues in different areas such as the production of energy, storage (batteries and supercapacitors), monitoring of gases (i.e. industries, automobiles), production of fuels from wastes and abatement of pollutants.

Based on these fundamentals, this Methods Collection is open to contributing to the following topics:

  1. fundamental and technological aspects of solid oxide-based electrochemical cells
  2. smart materials
  3. state-of-the-art approaches and applications
  4. cost estimation for large production and life cycle analysis
  5.  environmental impact
