Overheidsbeleid ter vermindering van werkloosheid

Government employment services play a vital role in helping individuals find employment.

For example, in the United States, the Department of Labor offers a platform called CareerOneStop, which allows job seekers to search for current job openings. It also helps users explore different careers by providing details about typical wages, required skills, and job responsibilities. CareerOneStop also includes tools like résumé builders.

In addition to online tools, government agencies organize job fairs. These events bring together job seekers and employers in one location and offer opportunities for interviews, networking, and learning about available positions.

American Job Centers, a nationwide network funded by federal, state, and local partnerships, offer in-person employment services to job seekers, including career counseling and job search guidance. The Job Corps provides residential education and training for young people aged 16 to 24.

By listing job openings, offering career counseling, creating spaces where employers and job seekers can interact, and providing access to job training programs government employment services help reduce unemployment.
