Histologie van het maag-darmkanaal.
The gastrointestinal tract has four tissue layers.
The innermost layer, mucosa, is characterized as a mucous membrane. It consists of an epithelium, lamina propria, and muscularis mucosae.
The epithelial layer comprises nonkeratinized stratified squamous or simple columnar epithelium. It also houses enteroendocrine and exocrine cells, which release mucus, fluid, and hormones.
The lamina propria is an areolar connective tissue filled with blood and lymphatic vessels, housing the majority of MALT cells.
The muscularis mucosae is a thin layer of smooth muscle fibers.
The submucosa is the middle layer, made of areolar connective tissue. It contains a large number of neuronal networks, blood vessels, and lymphatic vessels.
The muscularis is present on the outer side of the submucosa. It is mainly composed of smooth muscles, facilitating the involuntary muscle action of peristalsis.
The serosa is the superficial or outermost layer. It is a serous membrane composed of areolar connective tissue and simple squamous epithelium.
Het maag-darmkanaal bestaat van begin tot eind uit vier doorlopende weefsellagen die hun structuur aanpassen aan hun specifieke rollen. Deze lagen, va…
