Computed Tomography or CT scans use X-ray technology to generate detailed images of bones, organs, and tissues.
During the scan, the patient lies on a moving table that gently slides into a circular machine called a gantry.
Inside the gantry, an X-ray tube rotates around the patient, emitting X-ray beams from multiple angles, and detectors capture the radiation.
A computer processes this data to create detailed cross-sectional images for interpretation.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, uses magnetic fields and radio waves to generate comprehensive images of internal body structures.
MRI provides superior imaging compared to CT scans for evaluating the brain, spinal cord, joints, and soft tissues.
During an MRI, the patient lies on a table that slides into a large machine with a powerful magnet.
This magnet creates a strong magnetic field that interacts with the body's tissues, while radio waves help produce detailed images.
