Fda Waiver Guidelines

FDA waiver guidelines describe the regulatory principles and procedures used to request an exemption from, or modification of, a requirement overseen by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. A waiver request typically identifies the applicable requirement, explains why compliance is impracticable or unnecessary, and provides evidence that the proposed alternative protects participant safety, data integrity, and public health; the relevant FDA center then reviews the justification and supporting documentation. In clinical research, these guidelines help sponsors and investigators address requirements involving investigational products, clinical trials, informed consent, reporting, or administrative submissions while maintaining appropriate regulatory oversight.

2023

Robert M. Rioux & Zhifeng Chen, Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA The most common laboratory emergencies include chemical spills, fire or explosion, electric shock, and personnel injuries. Most laboratory accidents occur due to poor planning or lack of attention. Therefore, it's always better to prevent accidents (being proactive) than having to take any actions during an emergency (being reactive). For example, always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in the...

Rescue of recombinant arenaviruses from cloned cDNAs, an approach referred to as reverse genetics, allows researchers to investigate the role of specific viral gene products, as well as the contribution of their different specific domains and residues, to many different aspects of the biology of arenavirus. Likewise, reverse genetics techniques in FDA-approved cell lines (Vero) for vaccine development provides novel possibilities for the generation of effective and safe vaccines to combat human...
