Machine Learning

Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence that enables computer systems to learn patterns from data and make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed for every rule. In practice, algorithms train on labeled or unlabeled customer data, adjust model parameters to reduce prediction error, and then apply learned relationships to new cases. In marketing, these models support customer segmentation, response prediction, recommendation, churn detection, and campaign optimization by linking behaviors such as browsing, purchase history, and engagement to likely outcomes. Their value depends on representative data, appropriate evaluation, and responsible use, because biased inputs or misleading targets can produce inaccurate decisions and unequal customer treatment.
