Gevasculariseerde Composite Allotransplantations (VCA) hebben een klinische realiteit. Echter, brede klinische toepassing van VCA beperkt door chronische multi-drug immunosuppressie. De auteurs presenteren een betrouwbare en reproduceerbare grote diermodel om immunomodulerende strategieën die kunnen minimaliseren of potentieel elimineren de noodzaak van immunosuppressie in VCA vertalen.

Een Gemodificeerde Heterotope Varkens Hind Limb Transplant Model for Translational Gevasculariseerd Composite allotransplantatie (VCA) Onderzoek

Dit nieuwe model voor orthotope achterste ledematen transplantatie in de muis, van een niet-hechtingsmanchet techniek voor super-microvasculaire anastomose, een krachtig hulpmiddel voor in vivo mechanistische immunologisch onderzoek naar gevasculariseerd samengestelde allotransplantatie (VCA).
