Desorptie electrospray ionisatie massaspectrometrie (DESI-MS) is een ambient methode waarbij monsters, met inbegrip van biologische weefsels, kunnen worden afgebeeld met een minimale monstervoorbereiding. Door rastering het monster onder de ionisatie-elektrode, deze spray-gebaseerde techniek voldoende ruimtelijke resolutie om moleculaire kenmerken van belang te onderscheiden binnen coupes.

Dit manuscript biedt een stapsgewijs protocol voor het uitvoeren van IR-MALDESI MSI van een neonatale muis in zijn geheel.
