Lifeact-mrfpruby

Lifeact-mRFP-Ruby is a genetically encoded fluorescent reporter that labels filamentous actin, enabling researchers to visualize cytoskeletal organization and dynamics in living cells. It combines the 17-amino-acid Lifeact peptide, which associates with F-actin, with the red fluorescent protein mRFP-Ruby, allowing actin structures to be detected through fluorescence microscopy. In developmental biology, this reporter helps track cell shape changes, migration, division, morphogenesis, and tissue remodeling over time. By revealing when and where actin networks reorganize, Lifeact-mRFP-Ruby supports studies of the cellular mechanisms that drive embryonic development and tissue formation.
