Resident Education

Resident education is the structured postgraduate training through which physicians develop the knowledge, clinical skills, judgment, and professional behaviors required for independent medical practice. It combines supervised patient care with specialty rotations, case-based learning, simulation, and frequent assessment, allowing trainees to assume graduated responsibility as competence grows. Through feedback from faculty and reflection on clinical decisions, residents integrate scientific evidence with communication, teamwork, ethics, and procedural practice in real-world settings. Effective resident education supports competency development, strengthens patient safety and quality of care, and prepares physicians to adapt to evolving medical knowledge and healthcare systems.

Noncompartmental Analysis: Mean Residence Time

2025

According to statistical moment theory, mean residence time (MRT) is an important measure in pharmacokinetics. MRT can be defined as the expected mean of a probability density function distribution. It provides valuable insights into drug disposition in the body. After the administration of a drug through intravenous bolus injection, the drug molecules are distributed throughout the body and remain there for varying periods. The MRT represents the average time these drug molecules stay in the...

In Vitro Resident Memory CD8 T Cell Differentiation Using Epithelial Organoid-T Cell Co-culture System

2026

To study CD8 T cell differentiation and function in vitro, CD8 T cells can be isolated from the mouse to be co-cultured long-term with preformed infected murine vaginal epithelial organoids. Here, we describe this process and assess the acquisition of resident memory T cell markers upon co-culture.
