Pampusch Ph.D. is a senior researcher and lab manager in the laboratory of Dr. PamelaSkinner in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Minnesota.Dr. Pampusch has focused on developing an immunotherapy for HIV by engineering CAR T cells to eradicate HIV reservoirs in the B cell follicle. She has optimized T cell transduction and expansion conditions and has characterized the immunotherapeutic cells. The research team has achieved promising results when functionally testing this immunotherapy both in vitro and in simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV)-infected macaques.
