Distribution of Cytoplasmic Content

O citoplasma de uma célula contém muitas organelas diferentes. Cada organela difere em sua estrutura, função e número de cópias; Portanto, uma célula precisa usar estratégias distintas para separar cada tipo de organela adequadamente em suas células-filhas.
O envelope nuclear e o retículo endoplasmático estão diretamente conectados e, portanto, sua distribuição para as células-filhas é acoplada.
Na prófase, o envelope nuclear e as proteínas associadas se fundem com o retículo endoplasmático. O retículo endoplasmático em forma de folha se transforma em uma estrutura tubular e se reorganiza perto do córtex celular durante a metáfase.

Cyclin B-Cdk1 e Aurora-A, duas quinases mitóticas, regulam a ativação de DRP1. <h4>Avanços recentes na distribuição do retículo endoplasmático</h4> O retículo endoplasmático interfásico (RE) é uma membrana contínua que sintetiza as membranas dos corpos de Golgi, endolisossomos, vesículas e membrana plasmática. Durante a mitose, o RE pode sofrer fragmentação ou permanecer como cisternas. Nas células HeLa, o RE é mantido como cisternas e está restrito ao córtex celular. O RE não é distribuído uniformemente e as cisternas centrais estão associadas ao fuso. O RE pode ser preso às paredes do córtex das células mitóticas antes de ser distribuído às células-filhas.
