The Mitotic Spindle

Митотическое веретено разделяет сестринские хроматиды и перемещает их на противоположные стороны клетки во время анафазы митоза.

В большинстве животных клеток микротрубочки организованы вокруг органеллы, называемой центросомой. Одна центросома присутствует на каждом полюсе веретена.
Центросома состоит из двух центриолей, окруженных бесформенной массой белков, называемой перицентриолярным матриксом. Центросома производит, организует и закрепляет микротрубочки в клетке.
Два семейства моторных белков являются неотъемлемой частью построения и функционирования митотического веретена: белки, связанные с кинезином, и динеин. Как правило, белки, связанные с кинезином, движутся к плюсовым концам микротрубочек, а динеин движется к минусовым концам.
Собственная полярность митотического веретена и его микротрубочек способствует митотической сегрегации хромосом, подготавливая клетку к делению.
