Myocarditis Nursing Management

Myocarditis nursing management is the coordinated assessment and supportive care of patients with inflammation of the heart muscle, a condition that can impair cardiac function and cause serious complications. Nurses monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygenation, fluid balance, and symptoms such as chest pain, dyspnea, fatigue, or syncope to identify worsening heart failure or arrhythmias. Care may include activity restriction, prescribed medications, oxygen support, patient education, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Early recognition of clinical deterioration and careful discharge guidance help reduce complications and support recovery in acute and chronic cases.
