Company Acquisition

Company acquisition is a transaction in which one company purchases control of another, making it an important mechanism for changing ownership, allocating capital, and shaping corporate strategy. The acquiring company typically evaluates the target’s value, negotiates a purchase price, and completes the deal through cash, stock, debt, or a combination of financing sources, followed by legal and operational integration. Financial analysis examines valuation, due diligence, transaction structure, and expected synergies, such as cost savings or expanded market access. Acquisitions can accelerate growth and strengthen competitive position, but they also involve risks related to overpayment, financing obligations, cultural conflict, and integration failure.
