Description

An ophthalmoscope is used to examine the fundus, which is the inner wall of the back of the eye. The fundus includes the choroid, retina, fovea, macula, optic disc, and retinal vessels. A simple ophthalmoscope has an aperture to look through, a diopter indicator, and a disc for selecting lenses.
