Multiple pipe systems consist of interconnected pipes that regulate fluid flow across complex networks.
They can be arranged in series, parallel, loop, or network configurations, each offering distinct flow dynamics.
In series systems, fluid flows sequentially through each pipe segment, maintaining a constant flow rate. The total head loss from point A to point B is the sum of head losses across each segment.
Parallel systems allow fluid to divide across multiple paths, where the total flow rate equals the sum of individual path flow rates. The pressure drop remains constant across all paths, so every fluid particle experiences the same head loss, regardless of its route.
In loop systems, the flow rate in one pipe is balanced by the sum of flow rates in the other two connected pipes.
Finally, network systems consist of complex, interconnected pipes with multiple inlets and outlets, allowing flexible flow directions for efficient fluid transport.
