Ovary and uterus are the cradle of new life and the two most important reproductive organs for women. Reproductive dysfunction caused by the damage of these two organs has always been a difficult point in clinical treatment, especially the problems of premature ovarian failure and recurrent implantation failure. However, the molecular mechanism of ovarian and endometrial injury leading to dysfunction is still unclear. And the existing technology is not efficient in the protection, regeneration, and repair of these two organs, and lack a systematic demonstration of the clinical safety and effectiveness.
At present, a variety of new technologies and methods such as stem cells, tissue engineering, and lattice lasers play an important role in repairing and reshaping the reproductive function of the ovary and uterus. Moreover, the establishment of in vitro remodelling of ovaries and uterus and the in vitro culture of organoids are of great significance for the in-depth exploration of the pathophysiological mechanism of ovarian and endometrial related reproductive dysfunction.
The goal of this collection is two-fold: (1) to provide detailed protocols and procedures currently in use in clinical and basic science of reproductive function remodelling; and (2) to introduce novel approaches, initially developed as research models, that have the potential to translate into field applications.
