Unidad de Genómica Avanzada, Cinvestav-Irapuato, Mexico

Dr. Humberto Herrera-Ubaldo studied agronomy (U.A. Chapingo, Mexico), he earned his PhD in Plant Biotechnology from Cinvestav-Irapuato. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow working in the lab of Stefan de Folter. During his career, Humberto has focussed on the study of transcription factors guiding gynoecium and fruit development in Arabidopsis. His current work is aimed at understanding the physical interaction dynamics of transcription factors during reproductive development. He has also studied how cell wall remodeling controls some aspects of flower formation in Arabidopsis

Ezquer Ignacio

University of Milano, Italy

Dr. Ezquer is a researcher and professor at the Department of Biosciences, Milano University. As a researcher, he has investigated different aspects of developmental biology in model species as well as in crops. His current interests are focused into the characterization of key genes that control seed and fruit formation and reproductive barriers and to generate knowledge for seed breeding.

Collection Overview

This collection focuses on new methods in plant Developmental Biology. The aim is to collect advanced methods and state-of-the-art protocols that can be used in research to understand in plants mechanisms of development, differentiation, growth, homeostasis, and signaling at the molecular, cellular, genetic, hormonal, and evolutionary levels. Areas of particular emphasis include transcriptional control mechanisms, embryonic patterning, cell-cell interactions, growth factors and signal transduction, and construction of gene regulatory networks in developing plants.
