In 2020, he was recognized among the top 100000 most influencing scientists and engineers (statistical analysis elaborated by Stanford University). He is author of 72 papers on peer-reviewed international journals (Hirsch-index 20), 3 book chapters, 1 student book, 2 proceedings and almost 60 oral or poster contributions to national and international conferences.
Label-free and ultrasensitive detections have been recently demonstrated with large-area bioelectronic devices, operated in a liquid environment. Those are high-performing, stable, and reliable systems that exhibit most of the ideal features to conveniently serve in point-of-care testing systems. They can be produced with cost-effective large-area technologies. In this perspective, one important most widely investigated aspect is the development of water-stable semiconductors under operation conditions.
Therefore, the goal of this collection is to create a novel library of experimental methods for the latest developments in label-free sensing systems based on printable large-area bioelectronic devices encompassing outstanding stability in water. Thus, this collection will focus on the latest methods for low-cost deposition of semiconductors, integration of advanced printable semiconducting electronic channel materials for bioelectronic platforms with long-term stability while operated in water as well as the electrical characterizations assessing the reliability and stability of the devices.
In this special collection, we invite scientists with research relevant to the fabrication and characterization of stable and reliable bioelectronic devices, to publish their techniques as JoVE articles.
