Dr. Liu received her Ph.D. from Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center in 2014 and then worked as a postdoc fellow with Dr. Guillermo Oliver at Northwestern University. Since early 2022, she started her own research group as an assistant professor in the Lemole Center for Integrated Lymphatics Research at Temple University. Her research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating lymphatic development in health and cardiovascular diseases.

Collection Overview

As an integral component of the circulatory system, the lymphatic vasculature plays a vital role in maintaining fluid balance, immune surveillance, and absorbing fat from the intestines. With the rapid advancement of experimental methods and technologies in recent years, a wealth of discoveries has emerged, shedding light on the crucial functional significance of the lymphatic vasculature in health and disease. Importantly, specific functional roles of lymphatic vessels in various tissues and organs have also been identified during this time.

This Methods Collection aims to provide accessible and reproducible techniques for visualizing lymphatic vessels and assessing lymphatic function, utilizing both in vitro and in vivo approaches. Additionally, this collection will emphasize the tissue-specific functions of lymphatic vessels, including but not limited to the intestine, brain, and heart.
