Dr. Gang Ye holds a doctoral degree and presently serves as a professor. His expertise encompasses the fields of Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine Preparations, Toxicology of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Natural Product Research. With a portfolio of over 50 published papers in international journals and a Scopus h-index of 20+, his primary focus revolves around leveraging network pharmacology to forecast the mechanisms of natural compounds in disease treatment and exploring the influence of these compounds on microbial virulence. Noteworthy contributions from Dr. Ye include shedding light on the therapeutic role of Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate and unveiling the mechanisms underlying the impact of curcumin on Alzheimer's disease through network pharmacology approaches.

Collection Overview

Network pharmacology has emerged as an interdisciplinary field that integrates principles from pharmacology, bioinformatics, and systems biology. Its importance resides in its capacity to elucidate the intricate interactions among multiple targets and components of natural products, valued throughout history as abundant sources of biologically active compounds. The therapeutic potential of these natural products continues to capture the attention of the scientific community, and network pharmacology offers a perceptive framework for unraveling their mechanisms of action and therapeutic effects.

As a result, this Methods Collection aims to convene experts from diverse domains to present the latest approaches in the study of natural products through network pharmacology.
