Collection Overview

Muscle development, or myogenesis, is a complex and pivotal process in the field of biology, playing a crucial role in health, disease, and regenerative medicine. Understanding the intricate steps involved in myogenesis, from cell line differentiation to the formation of myotubes from patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), is essential for advancing our knowledge of muscle development and associated disorders.

This Methods Collection presents a compendium of state-of-the-art protocols encompassing the differentiation of various cell lines, the isolation and differentiation of primary satellite cells from diverse sources, and the differentiation of myotubes from patient-derived iPSCs. Each method is meticulously curated, providing detailed step-by-step procedures and considerations.

The importance of this collection lies in its ability to serve as a comprehensive guide for researchers and practitioners engaged in the study of muscle development. By consolidating a wide array of methodologies, this collection facilitates a deeper exploration of myogenesis, enabling researchers to delve into the nuances of cell differentiation and myotube formation across different contexts.

Ultimately, the aim is to catalyze advancements in the understanding of muscle development, contribute to therapeutic strategies for muscle-related diseases, and foster innovation in regenerative medicine. Researchers and practitioners alike will find this collection a valuable resource, empowering them to navigate the intricacies of myogenesis and furthering collective knowledge in this vital field of study.
