Cognitive psychologists and neuroscientists study LTM through various experimental paradigms, from highly controlled laboratory settings to more naturalistic, ecologically valid approaches. This collection aims to visualize the breadth of methods used to study human LTM, thereby improving accessibility, clarity, and reproducibility. In doing so, we can ultimately improve our understanding of the cognitive and neural underpinnings of human LTM.
We invite contributions that investigate paradigms related to the encoding, storage, and retrieval of human long-term memory (LTM). Submissions that integrate LTM paradigms with neuroimaging techniques (e.g., fMRI or EEG), psychophysiological measures (e.g., skin conductance or heart rate), or neuromodulatory methods (e.g., TMS or tDCS) are especially encouraged.
