The field of fluid and mechatronic systems is focused on system control, energy usage and optimization, all of which intersect with the fields of fluid mechanics, bioengineering, and mechanical engineering. Therefore, it can be challenging to succinctly characterize fluid and mechatronic systems. This Methods Collection aims to facilitate research by compiling video articles for standard and novel approaches in the field. The scope of this collection will include, but is not limited to,1) fluid mechanical systems, 2) electro-hydraulic control technology, 3) electromechanical measurement and control technology, and 4) hydromechatronics. We believe that the techniques documented in this collection can have applications in other fields as well. The purpose of this Methods Collection is to accelerate research on fluid and mechatronic systems and promote communication between researchers in different fields.
