Dr. Mário H Barros is an Associate Professor at the Department of Microbiology- University of Sao Paulo-Brazil. He graduated in Biological Sciences (1993) and holds a PhD in Genetic Sciences (2000) from the same university. He trained as a postdoc in Alexander Tzagoloff’s laboratory at Columbia University. His study focuses on proteins of unknown function that are required for mitochondria biogenesis in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
