Dr. Mengcen Wang is an associate professor at the College of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang University (China) and also a program fellow in the Global Education Program for AgriScience Frontiers at Hokkaido University (Japan). He obtained his PhD in Molecular and Ecological Chemistry from Hokkaido University, Japan, in 2013. Dr. Wang’s research interests are focused on the understanding of environment-plant-microbiome-herbivore interactions, and microbial signaling in the plant holobiont/hydrobiont. In his academic career, he has published more than 45 peer-reviewed articles, which are crucial for understanding of the mechanisms that underlie the microbiome-mediated resilience of agroecosystems to various pests and chemical/biological contaminants.
