Dr. Bartholomew Pederson is an Associate Professor of Medical Education at Ball State University and Adjunct Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Indiana University School of Medicine-Muncie. His research uses genetically modified mouse models to study the role of glycogen in health and disease. Dr. Pederson received his PhD at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences where he investigated the regulation of glucose-6-phosphatase in the liver. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine-Indianapolis where he examined glycogen synthase regulation in yeast and the role of muscle glycogen synthase in transgenic and knockout mouse models.
