Dr. Kateryna Fal received a PhD in Plant Physiology from the University of Basel in 2014. In the following years, she pursued her research on the plant model Arabidopsis thaliana as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Olivier Hamant at the Plant Reproduction and Development Laboratory, ENS de Lyon, France. Since 2019 she is a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Christel Carles, the Cell & Plant Physiology Laboratory, and is also involved in teaching at the University Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble, France.
The main focus of her research interests lies in understanding how plants perceive their environment and react to it on the molecular level, especially on the epigenetic regulation of the chromatin state within the plant cells in response to the environmental and developmental cues.
Kateryna has contributed to several peer-reviewed articles and has participated in several international conferences.
