Dr. Zhang is the head of Department of Early Discovery at Staidson Biopharmaceuticals. In this role, she has set up an early innovative pipeline in different drug entities, targeting neurological diseases and beyond. Prior to joining Staidson, she was an associate professor in the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Zhang was a visiting scholar in Harvard Graduate School of Art and Sciences and a research fellow in Boston Children Hospital (2013-2014). During the past decade, she has succeeded in leading projects in neuroprotection from neurite elongation of primary neurons to locomotion recovery in a nonhuman primate models of spinal cord injury.
