Prof. Dr. Inho Nam is an Assistant Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Chung-Ang University and the Department of Intelligent Energy and Industry. He received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Yonsei University in 2010 and PhD degree in the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering from Seoul National University in 2016. Following a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University, he joined Chung-Ang University as a faculty member in 2019.
His current research is on experimental and computational design of nanomaterials for energy storage and conversion. Based on this research career, he focuses on the theoretical understanding and development of energy materials and devices in a uniquely confined environment for energy and environmental applications.
His group focuses on new science and technologies for confined structures for next-generation energy and environment applications, based on the following three themes: 1) Development of confined-materials based on the first principle of quantum chemistry; 2) Understanding reaction principles in the confined environment to improve the efficiency of energy and environmental systems; 3) Free-formable electrochemical systems based on precisely controlled environments.
